Progress belongs to the Responder

The official site explains that successful missions can upgrade a Responder's starting gear and perks. Progress is therefore attached to a character, not just to the account's current run.

Survival is a progression decision

Permadeath means a failed run can remove a character's progress. When the squad is low on resources or treatment, a controlled retreat protects more than the current objective: it protects the work already invested in that Responder.

Build habits before chasing power

The official sources do not publish a complete public perk tree in the materials used for this page. Instead of inventing a best build, focus on repeatable habits: finish objectives, communicate, share supplies, and extract when the risk is no longer justified.

Progression loop

  1. Deploy a Responder.
  2. Complete objectives and survive the route.
  3. Extract to preserve the character's progress.
  4. Use improved starting gear and perks on later missions.
